Take Caution When Following CelebrityEndorsed Diets

August 11th, 2010 admin No comments
If you like celebrity articles we hope these will be of interest.

A celebrity endorsement of a diet is not a good enough reason to begin following that diet. Although many of us want to believe that our favorite actors, athletes, and musicians would never attach their names to diets or products that are unhealthy or that just don’t work. However the reality is that celebrities often endorse unhealthy products in order to make a buck, and this happens more often than you might suspect.

Celebrities are under an extraordinary amount of pressure to keep themselves in the limelight or risk being forgotten, with work and the money to fund their lifestyles no longer at their disposal. This does not mean that everyone who endorses a diet is only doing it for the sake of publicity and the opportunity to keep themselves in the spotlight. But some do find that attaching themselves to diets is lucrative for publicity and added income. Not to mention the extravagant gift incentives that diet and weight-loss companies thrust in front of celebrities to entice endorsements out of them. If we were in their shoes, we might find it hard to pass up some of these incentives, as well.

The real problem occurs when, just like the rest of us, the endorser does not understand the differences between a healthy diet is and an unhealthy diet. It is a fact that most Americans do not truly understand how to make healthy food choices and how to eat healthy on a regular basis. If we did, obesity might not be as rampant as it is in this country.

The diet and weight-loss industry relies on our ignorance to continue fueling the market for even more questionable diet plans to be made available to the unwary consumer. They also recognize the marketing potential and influence celebrities carry because of our fascination with them. Using paid actors/models/athletes/musicinas to make scripted testimonials about diets and weight-loss products has netted record-breaking sales and profits for the companies behind them.

Despite the long list of diet plans and weight-loss products sold every year, we keep getting fatter as a society, and our health continues to get worse. And unfortunately this keeps happening because we continute to listen to the hype and endorsements made by our favorite stars.

As a nation we still fail miserably when it come to nurishing our bodies with healthy foods. We cannot, however, lay all of the blame at the feet of the celebrity who endorses a certain diet or weight-loss product. Nor can we look to the diet and weight-loss industry to provide us with useful information about what a healthy diet consists of. They don’t want us to eat healthy because that would destroy their very lucrative sales.

The fact is, we have to take responsibility for our own health and the choices we make that can seriously affect it. We need to stop being blind followers and instead become informed decision-makers.

There are reputable resources where you can find information about healthy eating and ways to lose weight safely without putting your health at risk. Armed with this information, you will be able to spot and avoid diets that offer questionable advice and suggest using questionable products. You will find that the real science behind losing weight and keeping it off is more about eating foods that have a high density of nutrients and exercising, rather than controlling food portions, counting calories and fat, or even eliminating certain foods from your diet.

Eating high density organic foods does more than help you to slim down to a healthy weight and keep from gaining it back. Foods consisting of high density nutrients keeps the body supplied with the nutrients it needs to fuel its systems and to keep you at your healthiest

Diet plans that advocate eating nutrient rich organic foods and that do not support the severe restricting of calories, or suggest other unhealthy activities are fine to follow. That is given that you are choosing to do so as an informed consumer and not because you hear a paid celebrity say they do and you should too.

Celebrity Diets Hollywood Diets Celebrity Weight Loss

July 27th, 2010 admin No comments
Latest celebrities articles for your enjoyment.

I believe the Zone-style meals are the most popular choice for home delivery. Both the 5-Factor and the Zone Diets offer a daily delivery service.

Another thing to note is that the Zone diet is said to be miles apart from a strict vegetarian diet. Jennifer Aniston loosely follows the Zone diet but says it’s essential to cheat every now and then. Unlike TrimSpa , you don’t take any pills.

The stars hire trainers to help them work out and they also go through different diet programs. Valerie Bertinelli journals her progress and in fact has a blog on the Jenny Craig website. Jenny Craig provides a fixed diet plan that can help the customers to lose weight easily.

Food Network Chef Ellie Krieger presents a Web-based weight loss program that centers on health and balance. We are bombarded with diet programs advertised on TV. It is extremely important to fully investigate a diet and be aware of the health risks before trying it.

Slim-Fast is more of a product line than the above mentioned programs. The Nutrisystem diet is a customized menu of ready-to-eat meals shipped to your home on a scheduled basis. Even after the first two weeks, Atkins followers are only “allowed” to increase their carbohydrate intake by about 5 grams per day. Atkins believes that too many carbohydrates can cause the over production of insulin, causing you to gain more weight.

A healthy balanced diet includes carbs, and not all carbs are bad. Avoid sugar since it merely gives you empty calories and high-sugar foods tend to be low-nutrition foods (cookies, cakes, candies, sodas) that put on pounds without giving you essential nutrients.

We already know about the best weight loss program for us, and that program is diet and exercise. It seems that if we could only get the inside information on the new celebrity weight loss program or weight loss pill, then we’d be almost guaranteed to experience fast weight loss of our own.

A fast, effective way to jumpstart any weight loss program The Original Celebrity Juice Diet is the perfect jumpstart many dieters need to get motivated to begin dieting. The program is appealing because we see these various svelte celebrities and we want to have bodies just like them. Find the program that works best for you and stick with it

The acid-alkaline diet theory states that eating meats and other “acid-forming” foods causes chemical and metabolic imbalances and the health problems associated with them, including obesity. Weight Watchers and Jenny Craig encourage the use of supplement diet bars and other snacks that boost metabolism and aid with weight loss. Part of not living in a world of chaos is finding time to exercise and think of what you put into your body and how. An example of a crash diet is four glasses of skimmed milk, four bananas, one vitamin capsule, and large amounts of caffeine per day.

Staying active helps you to stay in shape because it speeds the weight loss process and makes the most of the good food you are eating.

I lost 30 pounds in three months. I’m not an expert, but I do speak from experience. Most of this, I learned on my own or through close friends and family members. Okay enough with the small talk, time for the Goods!! Just visit Strip That Fat and learn more for yourself! Good luck and I hope this has been helpful for those of you desperate to make a change!

We hope you enjoyed that celebrities article.

Whats new with your favourite celebrities.

How celebrities look like is a never-ending fantasy for almost everyone. They look gorgeous in TV, in films and everywhere they go. They brighten up award nights of almost every kind and photographers compete to catch a shot of their marvelous walk down a red carpet. An aura of invincibility surrounds their beautiful appearance and one just worries how anyone can remain there with the features in tact. The appearance of celebrities buys them food (clothes, cars and mansions) and they have to pay extra attention to retain the features that fans love. Just as the clothes, hairstyle and makeup they wear, they are also disciplined to keep their body in shape.

The diet, rest and workout of sexy celebrities give a clue to their secret of staying fit and rosy. Here are the diet secrets of seven women celebrities.

1. Jennifer Aniston

This phenomenal TV star has a large fan following. Thanks to her witty comments, much imitated hairstyle and a sexy slender body. She adores the covers of countless magazines. Staying trim and fit is the result of discipline at personal diet. Her diet follows a 40:30:30 rule.

40% Low sugar carbohydrates
-Beans, legumes, fruits and vegetables give the necessary carbohydrates

30% lean proteins
-Low fat dairy products, chicken, turkey, beef, Tofu and fish

30% essential fats
-nuts and seeds, fish and olive oils

It is essential to have a well balanced diet to ensure essential nutrients, hormonal balance and weight loss.

2. Kate Hudson

Do you wonder how this gorgeous daughter of Goldie Hawn shed the extra 60 pounds she gained during her pregnancy? Kate Hudson quickly switched to a high protein diet and got herself into a systematic workout plan. Silencing the last voice of criticism on the figures she had after her pregnancy, she shed all the extra pounds and gained some abs to the envy of many. Her high protein diet coupled with aerobics and weight training surely is beneficial for female bodies.

3. Oprah Winfrey

Oprah Winfrey, the celebrated talk show host has to retain her appearance for the sake of millions of her audience around the world. With a body that quickly attracts body mass, Oprah has to fight that extra fat on a regular basis. Oprah Winfrey works out five days a week, spending 30 minutes at treadmill and doing free-weight. She eats fruits, nuts, legumes, vegetables, fish, chicken, and low fat dairy products. Avoids sugar and white flour and she is proud that she doesn’t eat anything after seven in the evening.

4. Gwyneth Paltrow

Does Gwyneth Paltrow diet? Normal question from many fans, Gwyneth follows an eating regime that abhors dairy products, sugar and white flour. Vegetables, brown rice and lean meat are regular in her plate. Yoga is another secret to her perfect figures.

5. Madonna

The pop star that is the dream of men around the world, Madonna the Material Girl has the body to die for. She made her name synonymous to fitness and keeping sexy figures for so long. Her love to Ashtanga yoga and dislike to junk food ensure her body remains in shape. Her organic diet is rich in lean protein and junk food is out of question.

6. Claudia Schiffer

This super model from Germany has one the simplest diet plan among all celebrities. She takes fruits, tea and honey for breakfast, salads or soups for lunch and chicken or tuna salad or a piece of regular chicken for supper. For supper it can also be vegetables only. While on locations, you can see her eating black grapes and drinking tomato juice or herbal tea.

7. Christie Brinkley

This vegetarian supermodel with all-American looks shuns junk food of all kinds and even doesn’t give junk food items access to her refrigerator. Occasionally snacks on sweet potatoes, but avoids candy bars, Christie Brinkley shifts to a juice diet whenever she feels the need of slimming down fast.

Constantly on the eyes of public and more importantly closer to lens, celebrities cannot adopt a lax attitude on their appearance. Maybe ordinary people too can appear trimmed and healthy just like the celebrities do. After all celebrities too are ordinary people that happen to be more on focus.

June 10th, 2010 admin No comments
Read these celebrities articles to see whats going on in the entertainment world.

The Secrets of Celebrity Diets are really no secret. We all know that celebrities have the money to hire dieticians, personal cooks, and personal trainers. Most of us can only dream of having the luxury to afford personnel like this. Here’s a SECRET, the only thing they are really buying is motivation. Celebrities are too busy and lazy to make their own food, buy their own groceries or follow a workout plan.

Celebrities hire people to tell them when and what to eat and which exercise to perform. So they are really no better than you just lazier. You aren’t lazy are you? Of course your not! If you were lazy you wouldn’t be researching weight loss plans on the internet.

Snacks are a dieter’s best friend, because without them we would feel as if we were being cheated out of something. Snacks are one of the Secrets of Celebrity Diets. Snacks don’t have to be boring and bland. By the way some of the snacks I’ll show you are not even considered diet snacks at all!

Here are my top 5 Snacks that will help you lose weight:

These snacks are formulated for the recommended caloric intake of women; men can just double the amounts shown below.

1 Laughing Cow light garlic and herb cheese wedge and 3 reduced-fat Triscuits. 2 graham cracker squares with 2Tb of Peanut Butter 1 container of regular chocolate pudding and 1-90 calorie pack of caramel rice cakes (no change for men) 1 banana with sugar-free caramel drizzled on top (no change for men) 4 slices of honey ham with 2Tb of honey rolled in a lettuce leaf.

Those are my top Snacks that I rely on a regular basis to keep me away from the potato chips and ice cream. The snacks I outlined above are about 200 calories or less so they are perfect for snacking. Here is another technique I use to control my snacking on “Fat” foods, I simply cut them out of temptation all together. They don’t even make it to the shopping cart. If they don’t make it in your house then you won’t be tempted to eat them during a moment of weakness.

I know I was only going to reveal one of the Secrets of Celebrity Diets. But here is another that will give you access to more snack ideas and all the recipes you’ll need to get you on your way to losing weigh like a celebrity. Strip That Fat is the premier weight loss software. Strip That Fat is like having your own personal trainer and dietician on your computer. You will feel like you spent thousands on a personal dietician and cooking classes.

You are not too lazy to cook your own food are you? You will be able to make excellent meals using only the foods that you like to eat. This software program is one of the Secrets of Celebrity Diets that they don’t want you to know about. You soon will know what it’s like to lose weight like a celebrity.

Jeremy Reynolds- Fitness and Diet Professional.

DID YOU KNOW THAT: A study of 19,000 Americans found breakfast skippers are more likely to gain weight because they are more inclined to overcompensate for the loss of key nutrients at breakfast by eating more fat-rich, high-energy foods later in the day. Celebrity Diets Battle of the Bulge Goes Hollywood

May 29th, 2010 admin No comments
Read these celebrities articles to see whats going on in the entertainment world.

As a society, we look up to celebrities and make them our personal idols. There is always something they have that we want, be it their stylish haircut, flawless skin, sparkling smile, or shapely body. We are always eager to learn about the latest celebrity diets, trainers, and weight loss tips. Marketing teams not only know this, but they also study it extensively in order to take full advantage of our wanting nature. Companies use celebrities to get their products noticed, and to lend credibility to their advertising campaigns.

Both Jenny Craig and Nutrisystem have been on the market for a very long time, and have proven successful results. However, a company in any industry needs to distinguish itself from its competitors in order to maximize sales. This is why companies employ big names to push their product, hoping that a pretty face and a dusting of star power will induce the consumer to choose them over the competition.

Jenny Craig celebrity diet

Weight loss guru Jenny Craig brought her commercial weight loss program to the American public in 1985. It has been a commercial powerhouse and one of the more popular celebrity diets ever since. It involves a three-step program:

The first step is learning how and when to eat the pre-packaged meals. The second step is learning how to integrate regular exercise into your life. The third step is learning how to maintain momentum in order to keep the weight off.

Kirstie Alley

In December 2004, Jenny Craig Inc. announced that it had signed on Kirstie Alley to be their spokesperson. At the time, Kirstie was at her heaviest weight of 220 pounds. She was gracing the covers of numerous magazines showcasing her weight problem. Her weight issues were being talked about on almost every entertainment talk show and celebrity gossip magazine. She had also burst back into showbiz with her new television show “Fat Actress”, which focused on the weight problem of the main character. Kirstie was once again in the public eye, and a critical eye it was. Jenny Craig saw the potential financial gain for her company in contracting Kirstie to promote a celebrity diet. Not only was Kirstie constant magazine fodder, thus virtually guaranteeing substantial exposure, but she was also well-known and loved for her role on the long-running program “Cheers” as the sassy, sultry Rebecca Howe. Kirstie Alley has since lost 75 pounds.

In April 2007, Jenny Craig saw another lucrative opportunity, and made a celebrity addition to her team, Valerie Bertinelli, the loveable Barbara Cooper on “One Day at a Time”. Valerie confessed that she adopted this particular diet because she was impressed with Kirstie’s progress in the battle to lose weight. Valerie’s aim was to lose 30 pounds on the Jenny Craig program, and in September 2007, she realized her goal.

Nutrisystem celebrity diet

Nutrisystem was created in 1972. It started out marketing a liquid protein diet, which was abandoned in 1978 due to growing competition, and then it switched to selling pre-packaged meals designed to aid in weight loss. The company went bankrupt in the early 90′s, and re-emerged in 1999.

Nutrisystem’s method of operation relies on providing all the food for its clients, in order for them to remain true to their prescribed diet. Each and every meal is pre-packaged and sent to the client, rendering the diet simple to adhere to and relatively easy to maintain. However, Nutrisystem’s diet program is particularly geared toward weight loss, and does not focus on weight maintenance.

Tori Spelling

One eager advocate of Nutrisystem is Tori Spelling. She recently joined the program to shed some weight following the birth of her son. Tori admitted that she has never had weight issues in the past and was therefore looking for a quick loss program. This method is dramatically different from the one that Jenny Craig employs.

Summary

Nutrisystem is effective in helping its overweight clients shed those stubborn pounds quickly, but may not help them in keeping them off. The pre-packaged meals may aid clients in understanding portion control, but the program does not incite them to make future healthy food choices on their own.Jenny Craig Inc. also employs the use of pre-packaged meals, but when clients have lost half of their goal weight, the plan switches gears. Clients are then encouraged to start making their own meals, employing the techniques and tips they have learned thus far in the Jenny Craig program.

Do we “buy” it?

All you have to do is turn on the television to see that using celebrities to endorse products must be working brilliantly. We can observe tennis pro Maria Sharapova selling us Canon digital cameras, or Ellen Degeneres singing the praises of American Express, or Nicole Kidman pushing Chanel No. 5, and so on, so forth. When consumers wish to buy a certain product, they want to believe that the celebrity spokesperson is promising a good investment. So, just as we prefer golfer Tiger Woods selling us sporting equipment, and the stunning Halle Berry selling us cosmetics, we most definitely want a former “Fat Actress” selling us a weight loss program (a Celebrity Diet!).

What are the Most Popular Celebrity Diets| Which Diets do the Celebrities Use to Lose Weight

May 19th, 2010 admin No comments
Latest celebrities articles for your enjoyment.

The Most Popular Celebrity Diets are the ones that have us talking and thinking that we can duplicate the results of our favorite celebrity. We all want the body of Brad Pitt, Jennifer Anniston, Sarah Jessica Parker, or Kylie Minogue right. Of course we do, but what will it cost us to go on one of these diets, can we actually believe that the celebrities who are endorsing that diet are actually using it. What gimmick is the ploy to get us to buy into that weigh loss plan?

I’ve done the research for you and I will tell you that it’s not cheap to utilize some of the Most Popular Celebrity diets.

The Zone Diet- is one of the Most Popular Celebrity Diets, it consists of a membership to Dr. Sears’ website (it’s free), they recommend that you eat balanced meals (that’s good too), but they want you to buy their supplements. The two supplements they recommend you take are the Omega-3 (fish oil) and the polyphenols (anti-oxidant). These 2 products alone can cost you about $70.00 a month. Now imagine buying their shakes too. Not to mention you still have to buy your own groceries.
The Atkins Diet- Don’t even get me started on why this diet is not good for you. When you are forced to go on a low carbohydrate diet you will lose weight quickly but the chances of you keeping the weight off is slim. That is why you’ll hear people say "The Atkins Diet worked for me, I’m probably going back on it to lose the weight again" If you ever hear someone say they need to go back on the same diet they were on before to lose the weight they gained back, that’s a diet you don’t want to try because chances are it’s not a good program that you will want to stick to for the long term.
Sugar Busters- This diet consists of lessening your sugar intake. By doing this you will lower you insulin production that causes you to convert excess sugar to fat. This is a great idea but without guidance to your specific likes and dislikes. You can buy the main book about the diet plan and you can also purchase the cookbook to accompany the program. Chances are you won’t read the book and the meals will not be customized for your specific taste. If you are as picky as I am about the food you eat this is probably not for you.

After all of the research is done and over with and you are still left wondering which celebrity you should trust and which diet will not rip you off. You are left with no more answers and probably more questions.

I’ve found one product that is easy to implement and if you can cook some simple recipes you will be well on your way to losing weight like the Most Popular Celebrity Diets and it won’t cost you nearly as much. In fact you will probably be saving money in the long run, because some of the expensive foods you buy like potato chips and ice cream will be out of the equation.

Strip That Fat is the premier weight loss software. Strip That Fat will leave all of the Most Popular Celebrity Diets in the dust. This software is so easy to use, you can select your favorite foods and you will get a 14 day meal plan that is customized to the foods you like to eat. It will even print you out a shopping list so there is no more guessing. Pretty soon you will look like you’ve been on one of the Most Popular Celebrity Diets and you’ll be happy knowing that it did not cost you nearly as much.

Celebrity Fad Diets

May 16th, 2010 admin No comments
Whats new with your favourite celebrities.

Are you wanting to shed a few of those unwanted pounds before the summer vacation, and considering one of the many celebrity fad diets that are constantly being advertised on TV and Magazines on the market.

Losing weight affects everyone differently, and there are a lot of positive changes once a person experience weight loss.

Apart from avoiding health problems such as diabetes and even heart attacks, losing weight could simply be an overall feeling of well-being and self esteem,

For whatever reason, the thought of losing weight may sound like a good idea. However, the thought of the discipline and sacrifice required to give up favourite foods, or making the effort to exercise, after a busy work day is, for many, just a ‘step to far’

It is for this reason why so many people are searching for celebrity fad diets that offer a quick and easy solution to shedding those extra pounds without the pain and sacrifice required

Celebrities have their own pressures, particularly female celebrities such as Jennifer Aniston, to look beautiful; they also are expected to have perfect bodies. But I doubt that they achieve this perfection on a cabbage soup diet?

There are plenty of popular celebrity diets that are guaranteed to backfire. This is because these quick fixes instilled in certain diet plans are, in reality, are not efficient at all, because they do not employ the right principle and the right attitude in losing weight.

These quick weight loss diet plans are known as fad diets because that is exactly what they are, just a fad. In time, when fashion is over and popularity wanes, people realize that the celebrity fad diet they depended on is not so reliable after all, and they find they are back to square one, or even worse. Have gained weight!

Scientific research has shown that these celebrity fad diets do not prove that any individual is losing unwanted excess fat. It is mostly water that is lost with following celebrity fad diets or rapid weight loss practices. Water lost is regained very quickly. So there is actually zero net weight lost after all.

So one should not be foolish enough to be so gullible with the advertising of certain celebrity fad diets out there in the market; especially those which claim to aid losing a whopping amount of fat in a short time.

Each and everyone’s body metabolism reacts differently to different fast weight loss programs and plans.   Plus, exercise programs must be suitable to one’s body, as many people are not able to exercise as rigorously as others can.

All in all, discipline and consistency is still the best practice and the key to a rapid weight loss success.

Before entering into any celebrity fad diet, consider first, healthy light dieting combined with some form of workout.

The right amount of exercise applied in a regular way everyday will result in faster weight loss than many popular Hollywood fad diets on offer.

Information contained in this article is not meant to replace professional advice. Always check with your physician before starting any weight loss or exercise program.
